Hackintosh for 4K Video Editing (on a Budget) Part 2 - Bootable Thumb Drive

This is our new custom build PC with dual boot of Windows 10 and MacOS High Sierra. Watch the full guide for a successful and fully working Hackintosh. This guide provides for an easy and stress-free installation without problems.

In part 2 we provide the guide to making a bootable USB thumb drive for MacOS High Sierra.
Part 1 here for the Custom Build.
Part 3 here for the High Sierra installation.
Part 4 here for Driver installation.
Part 5 here for Important notes.

What you need

Instructions

  1. On a MacOS computer, go to the App Store and download High Sierra.
  2. After it's done downloading, exit the Installer by right-clicking on the High Sierra icon on the Dock and from the context menu click on Quit.
  3. From Spotlight, search and open the Disk Utility.
  4. Make sure you select your 16GB USB memory stick before continuing with this. It should be filed under External on the left side.
  5. If there's something valuable on that stick, make sure you save it somewhere else, because we're gonna erase the entire partition of that thumb drive.
  6. Click the Erase button.
  7. Type USB next to the Name and select MacOS Extended (Journaled) from the Format drop-down list.
  8. Now the Scheme drop-down list should appear. If not, that means your USB stick is not fully compatible with MacOS. You need a thumb drive that supports being formatted to the GUID partition map. Do not proceed if you don't see a Scheme options list, under the Format list.
  9. Select GUID partition map from the Scheme drop-down list. Click Erase. This shouldn't take long.
  10. Now open the Unibeast that you downloaded.
  11. Click Continue 4 times and click Agree.
  12. Click the newly created USB thumb drive under Select a Destination and click Continue.
  13. Under Select OS Installation, select High Sierra and click Continue.
  14. Under Bootloader Configuration, select UEFI Boot Mode.
  15. In the Optional Graphics Configuration, don't select anything. It's for older graphic cards. Click Continue.
  16. Click Continue again, enter the local account's password for that computer and the installation will finish in about 10-15 minutes, depending on the speed of your USB ports and the speed of your memory stick.
  17. After it's done, transfer the Multibeast and NVIDIA Web Drivers installation packages to the Install MacOS High Sierra partition on your USB thumb drive.
Credits go to tonymacx86.com for providing their Unibeast and Multibeast software and related drivers and tools.
And your USB bootable thumb drive with the necessary bootloader and High Sierra OS is done.
Go to Part 3 for installing High Sierra.
