Asus B250 Mining Expert Unboxing

This is the unboxing of the Asus B250 Mining Expert Motherboard.

In the box we have:
  • Support DVD
  • the ATX form factor motherboard itself
  • the Input and Output Shield
  • and 2 SATA cables.
The External ports of the motherboard include:
  • 3 Audio jacks
  • 4x USB 3.1 ports
  • 1x Ethernet port
  • 1x HDMI port
  • 2x USB 2.0 ports
  • and PS/2 ports for keyboard and mouse.

This motherboard supports 19 GPUs, so it comes with 1 x PCIe type 16x slot, and 18 x PCIe type 1x slots. As you can see in the video, you can connect up to 3 power supplies. For the processor, we have the Intel LGA Socket 1151, which supports 6th and 7th generation 14-nanometer CPUs, from Celeron to i7. There are 2 DDR-4 memory slots, and you can install up to 32 gigabytes of RAM at 2400 Mhz.

The recommended OS for this motherboard is Windows 10. On this link you can refer for the recommended GPU combinations from Asus.

Running 19 GPUs in a motherboard means you will need power supplies that can handle that kind of power consumption, like server type of PSUs with 2000W. The Asus B250 motherboard, also comes with features, such as the LanGuard for surge tolerance, voltage stabilization capacitors, and Mining Mode BIOS Optimization.

New Page template button with timestamp in the title - Notion

I'm also an advocate for minimalism while still having an efficient workflow. Today I'm giving a tip with an example of daily journal entries. Usually, a Notion template comes with a database for journal pages, with a "Date created" property which is mighty convenient. But you can also replicate that without a database.  This will make it super fast for you to start journaling on a new page with the current date and time already added to the title. Create a simple text page where all your journal entries will be stored (no databases/tables). Optional: You may create a subpage to serve as an Archive for past entries. Again this should be a simple text page, not a database. You may also have multiple archives, named after the 12 months or years to keep things more organized. Type / , then template , then select the Template button . Give
