How to properly follow a Facebook post

Many times when people want to follow a Facebook post that interests them (for comments etc), they comment "F" or "Following" or "I want to know that too".

This is not the correct way to receive notifications of a specific Facebook post. Here's how to do it instead:

  1. On the right side of the post that interests you, click (or tap if on a mobile device) on the 3 dots. This will open a context menu.
  2. You may have to click on More Options.
  3. Click the Turn on notifications for this post.
Now you will receive notifications whenever a comment has been posted on this post. If you wish to opt out of notifications later on, just go back to the same context menu and click on Turn off notifications for this post.
