Ok, so I just got the notification, and from the details, I thought maybe I would have issues with sleep or power management in general. Turns out, everything is still working, including sleep!
- Download and install as normal from the Software Update pane.
- Let it restart and boot on its own from Clover.
- The whole thing took max 15-20 minutes to update (it was a 3GB update).
- Upon startup after the update is installed, touchpad, USB WiFi, audio were not working. That's a temporary after-effect, and a fresh boot will fix that issue.
- Also upon startup you will be asked for your iCloud account password (I skipped that part, because my USB WiFi wasn't working).
- VERY IMPORTANT: On the same setup, you will be asked for Disk Encryption (File Vault), and the option is enabled by default. DO NOT PROCEED with that. Uncheck that option before finishing with the setup window.
I confirm that on my Lenovo Legion Y540 Hackintosh everything is working:
- Sleep / Power Management
- Intel graphics
- Audio
- Bluetooth
- Touchpad
- Numeric Keypad (this one is actually more responsive now and starts up immediately, brilliant!)
- USB WiFi (I have yet to replace my Intel card, because I'm waiting for the courage to test a kext for it).
- Ethernet, USB, keyboard function keys, keyboard backlight etc etc.
